Former auto mogul Denny Hecker is dealing with more legal trouble. Wednesday the judge in his bankruptcy proceedings found him in civil contempt of court.

The U.S. bankruptcy trustee asked for the ruling last week when Hecker missed a Nov. 11 deadline for submitting thousands of emails and financial documents including bank statements and utility bills for his mansions.

Outside the courtroom Wednesday, Hecker's lawyer Bill Skolnik said he turned in much of the paperwork just two hours before the hearing.

"I delivered over 1,000 pages before noon today. I believe he has everything but the emails which are hundreds of thousand of pages. So the court has requested us to provide those and we'll do our best to do so," said Skolnik.

Hecker will not go to jail for this contempt.

A deposition hearing in the bankruptcy case is set for next month.

Hecker used to own two dozen auto dealerships and more than 100 businesses which brought in more than $6 billion a year.

Now federal and state authorities are investigating evidence of fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering.

He has not been arrested or charged.

Hecker filed for bankruptcy June 4. He owes creditors an estimated $750 million dollars.

Hecker is also going through a fiercely contested divorce.
