Water Patrol Out in Full Force
The Ramsey County Water Patrol is out in full force this weekend on 16 area lakes. The added supervision is to account for the expected increase of boaters over the fourth of July weekend.
Over at White Bear Lake, ten year water patrol veteran Frank Przybilla spent all day there yesterday. He was not only looking for boaters breaking the law, but also those who were following the law.
Przybilla says he likes to reward people for boating properly, especially little kids. He routinely gives out certificates for free dairy queen ice creams to kids who are wearing life jackets.
It is minnesota law that children under the age of 10 wear life jackets while in a boat on a lake.
