2 Metro Men Flip Plane into Crow Wing Co. Lake
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office says a float plane crashed while attempting to land on a lake Friday afternoon.
The aircraft overturned into Lower Hay Lake in Ideal Township shortly before 1:30 p.m.
There were two occupants in the plane, pilot Jeffery Arndt, 47, of Maple Plain, and passenger Benjamin Kodadek, 31, of St. Louis Park. No serious injuries were reported.
The crash is being investigated by the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Aviation Administration.
