Man Arrested After Burnsville Home Invasion

A man faces multiple charges after police say he broke into a Burnsville apartment with a teenage babysitter and three young children inside.

The 19-year-old babysitter, who wished to remain anonymous, spoke to through an interpreter Thursday about the incident.

She was watching these three children Monday evening when she says a man came through the kitchen window. She says two other men were waiting outside.

The babysitter tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS she doesn't know what the man wanted. She was watching her friend’s children, all under the age of three, when the suspect broke in.

According to the criminal complaint, Abdiaziz Abdikadir pushed one of the children, causing her to fall and hit her head.

The babysitter says the other two men dragged Abdikadir out of the house, but not before prosecutors say he threatened to kill the babysitter.

Police arrested Abdikadir, but the teenage babysitter says she's still scared, and the children's mother says her children don’t sleep at night anymore.

The victim says the men appeared drunk when they broke into the home. The child that was pushed didn’t suffer any injuries.
