Authorities chase, catch man in Beltrami Co.

A man lead authorities on a chase through Beltrami County, first in a vehicle and then on foot.

According to the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office, a man drove off the Red Lake reservation Sunday around 3:45 p.m.

Deputies, along with Minnesota State Patrol Troopers and members of the Red Lake Police Department chased the man off the reservation onto Irvine Avenue. The man traveled about two miles south to Lumberjack Road. He drove nine miles to Highway 89 where he went south to Mayflower Road. The vehicle stopped on Mayflower and the driver tried to run away.

Deputies and officers caught up with the man identified as Christopher Rossbach, 22 of Bemidji.

Two Beltrami County Sheriff's Deputies were treated and released from North Country Regional Hospital for medical issues resulting from the pursuit.

Rossbach was booked into the Beltrami County jail on multiple arrest warrants, felony fleeing, felony damage to property and assault on a police officer.
