If you’re making the drive back home at the end of this Labor Day holiday weekend, there are a few construction hotspots to avoid if at all possible.
In Owatonna, Interstate 35 is down to one lane in both directions. Expect the biggest delays this weekend on Thursday and Monday afternoons and evenings.
Highway 95 is closed at the Rum River in Cambridge. The road closure lasts until October.
Watch for lane shifts and ramp closures along Interstate 94 near Highway 25 in Monticello. All lanes are open, but the ramps to and from I-94 eastbound and Highway 25 are closed.
In Central Minnesota, interchange work along Highway 10 in the city of Rice is nearing completion. Temporary stoplights have been removed from the westbound lanes; however, you will still encounter narrow lanes and temporary traffic signals on the eastbound side.
In Sauk Rapids, there’s single lane head-to-head traffic on Highway 15 between Benton Drive and Highway 10. The ramp from Highway 15 north to Highway 10 west is closed.
In Browerville, an eight-mile stretch of Highway 71 is closed between County Road 14 and 11th Street until late October.
