Authorities have identified a 55-year-old man who drowned in the Sauk River in St. Cloud.
The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says Daniel LeRoy Snively of St. Cloud was pronounced dead at the scene after he was found in the river Sunday.
The sheriff's office says the Snively had been pulled onto the shore but was unresponsive and blue.
They say he had been with friends in a nearby apartment complex before walking into the river and swimming in shallow water. His friends went looking for him after not seeing him for an unspecified amount of time.
Authorities say foul play isn't suspected and it appears alcohol may have been a factor. The sheriff's office is awaiting the final autopsy results for the exact cause of death.
