A grand jury has indicted an Andover man, charged with setting his roommate on fire in June, on four counts of first-degree murder Friday.
Adam Lilienthal, 29, is being held on $2 million bail. Authorities say he doused his 55-year-old roommate with accelerant and set the man on fire on June 17, 2014. Scott Yorek suffered burns over 80 percent of his body and died from his injuries.
“We are satisfied that the grand jury found enough evidence to pursue these first degree murder charges,” said Anoka County Attorney Tony Palumbo. “We believe these are appropriate charges, and our office will vigorously prosecute the defendant.”
Lilienthal is set to appear in court again on October 13.
