Human remains were discovered at a construction site on Wednesday, according to authorities.
The bones were found at the site where the new CVS Pharmacy is being built, located on Highway 61.
Anthropologists determined the remains are a white, middle-age woman, who died during the Civil War era. They can tell when she passed away by nails discovered used to make her coffin.
Work continues at the construction project.
The state anthropologist is trying to track down who owned the land back during the civil war. They hope to return the remains to any living relatives.
