Flags are being flown at half-staff Wednesday at all state and federal buildings in Minnesota in honor of fallen Mendota Heights police officer Scott Patrick.
Forty-seven-year-old Patrick was shot and killed last Wednesday, July 30, during a traffic stop. He leaves behind a wife and two teenage daughters.
Those who knew Patrick say he was funny and personable in intense situations. He has also been remembered as a dedicated public servant who had a friendly demeanor and genuine approach to both life and work.
A copy of Dayton’s proclamation ordering flags to be flown at half-staff across the state can be found here.
The funeral was Wednesday in West St. Paul. See details here.
