How much are you willing to dish out during All-Star week? City leaders predict the total economic impact will be tens of millions of dollars.
Sometimes making memories will cost you.
"I think it's worth it for sure because I like to be able to capture the moment," Cynthia Grover, a wife and mother from Colorado, said.
And it's not necessarily cheap.
Visitors told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS they're spending money on dining out, transportation, movie theaters, tourism spots and hotels.
To help the hundreds of thousands of baseball fans figure out the best way to spend their money, Meet Minneapolis, Convention and Visitor's Association created a one-stop virtual social media shop.
"We work with different restaurants, hotels, attractions, and service partners in the community, and we connect them with the visitors who come here," Amanda De Phillips, Director of Marketing for Meet Minneapolis, said.
As the tourism bureau for Minneapolis, these volunteers are trying to help the city reach its estimated economic impact of $75 million during All-Star game week.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS asked the Minneapolis mayor how they came up with that number.
"It was an estimate of how many folks were going to be here and averages of how much people spend while they're around," Mayor Betsy Hodges said.
"We're not going to spend $75 million on our own," said Todd Grover of Colorado. "Probably $10,000, and half of that was tickets for different events."
It is a lot of spending, but the Grover sons said, "It's exciting."
No dollar amount can capture what these baseball fans will always remember about an all-star vacation.

Over the course of the week, 160,000 visitors are expected to come through Minneapolis, and city leaders hope all of the baseball fans will be opening up their wallets to take in all the city has to offer.
