Woodbury police have made an arrest in connection to a jewelry store hold up, where another robber apparently shot and killed himself.
On Sunday Minneapolis police found the car that witnesses saw leaving the scene of the armed robbery at Johnson Jewelers. Forty-six-year-old Erick Larkins was arrested and charged with aiding and abetting aggravated robbery in the first degree, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
An employee at Johnson Jewelers alerted a nearby police officer of a robbery in progress Saturday around 9:30 a.m. Police spokeswoman Michelle Okada says the officer heard what sounded like a gunshot from inside the store.
The officer found the body of a man who appeared to be in his mid-50s. Okada said the man was the only person who fired a shot, and his wound was self-inflicted. His name hasn't been released.
Larkins remained in the Washington County Jail on Sunday night.
