Authorities are asking for help identifying a body of a woman found Saturday evening in Ravenna Township.

The woman, who is thought to be in her late 20s or early 30s, was found around 5:30 p.m. in a wooded area at 175th and Presley Circle in rural Dakota County by the property owner, according to the Dakota County Sheriff's Office.

It is believed she had been there less than 36 hours, authorities said.

According to authorities, she is either Caucasian or possible Native American and around 5 feet 7 inches, 190 pounds, with reddish hair with blonde highlights.

She was found wearing starfish-shaped, jewel encrusted earrings and has a vine-shaped tattoo across her lower back, authorities said.

Authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy.

At this point, the cause of death has not been determined. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Rick Schroeder at the Dakota County Sheriff's Office at 651-438-4727, the county's tip line at 651-438-TIPS (8477), or go to the department's Facebook page.

The woman was wearing earings (pictures above) and has a vine-shaped tattoo across her lower back.
