The victim of Saturday's hit-and-run in St. Paul stood in front of a car in an effort to prevent an allegedly drunken woman from driving, according to the criminal complaint.
The report says 36-year-old Felicia Marie Remmen drove forward anyway, which is when 25-year-old Ronny Allen Gray Jr. reportedly jumped onto the hood of the car.
Remmen allegedly continued to drive at speeds of up to 30 mph until Gray fell off, hitting his head on the pavement.
Gray's 5-year-old stepson and wife witnessed the incident, which took place near West Seventh and Mercer Streets.
Gray is now hospitalized with skull fractures; his condition has improved to "fair" at Regions Hospital.
Remmen is being held on first and second-degree assault charges. She admitted to police she had been drinking but claimed she didn't remember the incident.
