The Minnesota couple arrested Monday near Fort Lauderdale after allegedly collecting welfare while living on a yacht will not fight extradition back to Minnesota.

ABC-affiliate WPLG reports Colin Chisholm III, 62, and his wife Andrea, 54, of Deephaven appeared at an extradition hearing in Florida Wednesday morning in connection with welfare fraud.

The couple, who authorities say have been on the run for three weeks, were picked up by police in the Bahamas on Monday because their passports expired. When they landed in Port Everglades, they were arrested.

The pair was charged in Hennepin County earlier this month with felony welfare fraud. They are accused of lying on public assistance request forms and collecting benefits nearing $170,000 from the state while living on a million-dollar yacht in south Florida.
