A press conference was held Monday morning, announcing the filing of a civil lawsuit involving the local Boy Scout chapter, according to ABC News affiliate KAAL in Austin, Minn.

The lawsuit will be filed on behalf of two former Boy Scouts, being called Doe 8 and Doe 9. It will be filed against the Boy Scouts of America, Gamehaven Council, Inc., St. Pius X Catholic Church, and former troop leader Richard Hokanson.

This will be the first civil lawsuit involving the Boy Scouts of America filed under the new Minnesota law eliminating the civil statute of limitations for children who are sexually abused. The law also allows a 3-year window for past victims of childhood sexual abuse to file lawsuits against their perpetrator.
