Woman Killed in North Minneapolis Shooting Identified

The woman killed in a North Minneapolis shooting has been identified.
   
Minneapolis police say the shooting happened just after 2 a.m. Saturday, July 13, as two women sat in a car at a stoplight at the intersection of Washington Avenue North and 26th Avenue North.

The two injured women were rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center.   

Police say the driver was hysterical while trying to explain what happened. They say a car full of people leaving downtown was stopped at a red light. Witnesses say a car pulled up next to them and started shooting.
     
The driver of the car told police two women were shot.
     
The woman who was is in critical condition died late Saturday. She has been identified as 26-year-old Arnong Rajvong of Minneapolis.

The other woman has non-life threatening injuries and was expected to be released.
     
Police believe this could be linked to a domestic situation with one of the women.

The Minneapolis Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating this case and is asking that anyone with information contact the Minneapolis Police Department TIPS Line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
