Exclusive: Juror Reveals Details of Aaron Schaffhausen Trial

A juror is opening up about his experience during the trial of a father who admitted to killing his three daughters in River Falls, Wis.

After more than three hours of deliberations on April 16, a jury found 35-year-old Aaron Schaffhausen had a mental disease or defect during the killings of 11-year-old Amara, 8-year-old Sophie, and 5-year-old Cecilia. But Schaffhausen didn't lack the substantial capacity to appreciate the wrongfulness of his conduct or to abide by the law, the jury ruled.

The ruling rejected Schaffhausen's insanity defense.

Hear what juror David Hermansen shared with KSTP's Steve Tellier about the court experience in this exclusive, extended interview.
