Lynx Trade For Ex-Gopher Janel McCarville

Lindsay Whalen and Janel McCarville led the Gophers to the Final Four in 2004, and now will try to lead the Lynx to another WNBA championship.

The Lynx sent out a press release Friday afternoon to announce a press conference for 4 p.m. for the purpose of a major player acquistion. Well, via Twitter an hour later, the Lynx confirmed reports that the player is McCarville.

McCarville, 30, has not played in the WNBA for two years. Her rights were previously owned by the New York Liberty. She has played competitively over that time in Europe.
