Storm Excites Some and Concerns Others

While many spent the day using four wheelers, tractors, and trucks to plow snow ahead of more winter weather, others took a break and had some fun.

About a dozen people were spotted in the Rogers area on snowmobiles cutting through farm fields and in and out of the town of Fletcher. Riders tell us while there is plenty of work to do, having a little fun in the snow is what it's all about in Minnesota.

However, those who decided to drive rural or side roads were not embracing winter as much as their fun loving counterparts. Many side streets had not been plowed and several vehicles were spotted in ditches or farm fields.

Additionally, MnDOT closed several highways in the Northwestern part of the state at 5 P.M. That dramatically impacted the plans long haul truck drivers headed northwest had made. Several made an unplanned stop at the Rogers truck stop to spend the night in their rigs rather than on the roads.
