Martin Re-Elected State DFL Chairman
The Minnesota DFL Party has re-elected Ken Martin as chairman.
At a conference Saturday in Robbinsdale, Martin was elected to a second two-year term. The party says that under Martin's leadership, it raised and spent a record $14 million in 2012, while canceling its debt. The DFL says the spending helped regain majorities in the Minnesota Senate and House and send U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan to Washington.
Martin says the party is in a position to help re-elect Gov. Mark Dayton and U. S. Sen. Al Franken in 2014.
Also re-elected to a two-year term was Marge Hoffa, Minnesota DFL Party vice chair.
