St. Paul Man Found Unconscious in Street Dies, Woman Arrested

St. Paul police say a 50-year-old St. Paul man found lying unresponsive in the street Wednesday night has died.

Mark Leroy Urang died from head injuries Thursday night, according to police.

Around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to the 600 block of Wells Street near the intersection of Payne Avenue on a report of the man lying in the street. Paramedics transported him to Regions Hospital.

Investigators are following leads, including information that Urang may have been hit by a vehicle.

Police say a woman is in custody at the Ramsey County Jail in connection with the incident while investigators work to determine what role she may have played.
