Minnesota Flu Cases Appear to be Declining

There were 15 more deaths attributed to the flu last week according to new numbers released by the Minnesota Department of Health Thursday afternoon. That brings the total number in the state this season to 75.

But there is also some good news:  the number of new cases seems to be declining.

According to the MDH, last week 208 people were hospitalized with lab-confirmed cases.  That's a significant decrease compared to the week before, when the number was 541 and the week before that when the number was more than 600.

But health experts warn that you still need to be vigilant.  The flu season is not over, it can last through April.
