Farmington Man to be Jailed for Attempts to Lure Children
A Farmington man has been sentenced to 180 days in jail in connection with trying to lure children and attempting to expose himself to them at least four times in the city.
Adam Eugene Berg, 31, was sentenced Tuesday in Dakota County District Court to a felony of second-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct charge and three gross misdemeanor counts of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to the Dakota County Attorney's Office.
Berg pleaded guilty last October to the charges. The incidents occurred between January 2012 and February 2012 at multiple locations within Farmington.
District Judge Edward Lynch sentenced Berg on Tuesday. As part of the sentence, Berg must serve 10 years probation and register as a predatory offender.
Berg was not in custody as of Tuesday afternoon. He's scheduled to begin serving the jail sentence Feb. 4.
