Minn. Families Impacted by Russian Adoption Ban

Minnesota leads the nation in international adoptions, and there are dozens of families in the metro whose adoptions could be jeopardized by Russia's new ban.

Families like Rachel and Ben Minks from Andover.  They've been trying to adopt two Russian sisters since 2010.  They even made a trip over to meet them and have a bedroom all ready for them at home.

Their adoption application keeps getting bounced back to them by a Russian court.  Now, they say the ban is just one more frustrating setback.

"We think about them every day.  They are part of our lives.  We pray for them every night.  We are bonded to them," say Rachel Minks.
