Housing Strengthens in Minneapolis

The housing recovery is showing signs of strength, especially in Minneapolis.

The latest Case Shiller report showed property values in 20 cities were up 4.3 percent in the 12-month period through October. The most in more than two years.

Minneapolis managed to more than double that growth, with home prices rising 9.2 percent over the same time period.

The numbers outpace what experts predicted. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg only estimated a national price jump of four percent.
