2nd Degree Murder Charges in N. Mpls Homicide

A 25-year-old man has been charged with second degree murder for allegedly beating a man to death.
On the night of Nov. 17, police found a body in an alley at Girard Avenue North and 33rd. The victim died from multiple blunt force injuries, police say.
Witnesses say there were several Crip gang members around during the altercation with the man. They say several men were sitting around a kitchen table when the victim and another man walked into the home and went downstairs. The men at the table allegedly grabbed the victim and dragged him out the back door.
Once outside, witnesses say three people jumped off a retaining wall onto the victim, who was lying on the ground.
Twenty-five-year-old Deandre Montrell Stokes was charged with one count of second degree murder. He is the second suspect charged in connection to the murder.
