Warrants: Traces of Blood Found in Disappearance of Oakdale Woman

Search warrants obtained in the case of a missing woman in Chisago County say trace evidence of blood was found in the home of the woman's boyfriend.

A lab analysis report says the blood evidence was found on a bedroom floor, on the stairway and a family room couch in the Chisago Lake Township house. That's where Danielle Jelinek was last seen. She was reported missing by her family the next day, Dec. 9. Investigators say her on-again, off-again boyfriend is a "person of interest" in the disappearance, but is not charged.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the warrants also allege a relative of Jelinek's told authorities Jelinek's boyfriend had physically abused her in the past. The boyfriend told investigators that Jelinek was gone when he woke up the morning following her visit.

The warrants did not identify whose blood was found.
