Robbinsdale Student Picks up Gun on Side of Road

A student in the Robbinsdale school district picks up a gun on the side of the road.

Tia Clasen, Robbinsdale schools spokesperson, said the school bus driver, on route #33 of  the Metropolitan Transportation Network, asked the seventh grader to pick something up on the side of the road. It turned out to be a firearm.

The driver then asked the student to bring him the gun. The driver reported the incident to his superior at Robbinsdale Middle School. He was reportedly going to take it to the dispatch office.

It’s unknown if the gun was loaded. The name of the bus driver has not been released. The Bus Company and Police are investigating.

In a letter to parents the school is asking parents to talk with their children about unsafe situations.
