Historic Landmark Returned to Minneapolis Neighborhood

A neighbor that was missing for months was finally returned home Monday in Minneapolis.

But don't worry, it's not as serious as it sounds.

The Prospect Park neighborhood in Minneapolis has been affected by light rail construction for months, including having their neighborhood rock temporarily removed.

Monday it was returned, and folks were so happy they decided to throw a party for it.

"It's just an important piece of history I think for the neighborhood," said Prospect Park resident Pam Harris.

The Met Council, which oversees construction, says preserving the historic rock took minimal cost.
