Menlo Park Academy Teacher Dies in Classroom
Lisa Hoebelherinch looks at several pictures of her sister Lori Blomme, she told me her first reaction at the terrible news.
"I didn't believe it, I didn't believe it," Hoebelherinch said.
Lori began teaching at Menlo Park in 2003.
"She loved teaching, she loved being with those kids," Hoebelherinch said.
And Joseph Papasodora says, the kids loved her. He attends Menlo Park Academy. He says, students began running into his class screaming about Mrs. Lori on the floor. So he ran to her room.
"She was on the ground, it looked like she was having a seizure sort of," Papasodora said.
Paramedics arrived and took Blomme to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Blomme was not just a teacher, she was married to her husband Dean for 10 years. And a mother to six year old Madeline and eight year old Olivia. They're surrounded by family right now.
"I think everything is going to be ok now. I think after we're all gone it might hit them a little harder," Hoebelherinch said.
Lisa says, her sister touched a lot of people, and she will be missed.
"You'll never meet anybody like her," Hoebelherinch said.
