Woman Accused of Giving Daughter Heroin, Marijuana

A woman is accused of giving her 12-year-old daughter heroin and marijuana three times a day.

The child was hospitalized in Minneapolis with apparent symptoms of withdrawal last week.

The girl told authorities she had been smoking heroin and marijuana with her mother and that they had been homeless staying "here and there."

Police say the woman told them the girl likes to do the same things she does, so she smoked heroin with her daughter.

The woman was arrested Oct. 14 for allegedly shoplifting at Mall of America. Her daughter was with her at the time of her arrest.

She is now facing several charges including child endangerment.
