Gophers' Kill Expected Back in Office Monday
Gopher football coach Jerry Kill plans to be back in the office Monday after spending a night in the hospital over the weekend.
Kill was hospitalized after having a seizure in the locker room after the team's loss to Northwestern Saturday. He was released from the hospital Sunday.
University physician Dr. Pat Smith issued a statement on Sunday saying Kill has been treated and is "in excellent health." Kill has struggled with seizures for years, including several times last season in his first year with Minnesota.
School officials did not provide a status for next weekend's game at Wisconsin. But Kill has never missed a game because of seizures.
Smith says Kill's "only concern is his team and staff, and he is excited to resume his normal coaching duties as Minnesota prepares for Wisconsin this week."
