Minnesota Sculpture Park Dedicates Work of 9/11 Victim
Even though he died on 9/11, Michael Richards' artwork lives on thanks to countless volunteers.
The Franconia Sculpture Park near Taylors Falls dedicated Richards' sculpture called "Are You Down?" on the 11th anniversary of his death. Richards created the work while he had a fellowship at the park in 2000.
The sculpture fell apart over the years and the park recast it in bronze. Friends say Richards was a wonderful human being with a promising sculpting career that was cut to short.
