Minnesotans Volunteer in Remembrance of 9/11
It's an example of Minnesotans at their best; hundreds of Minnesotans are spending this Day of Service giving back to the community in honor of 9/11.
President Obama established September 11th as a National Day of Service.
One hundred volunteers were scooping up food into individual-size servings that will go to help the less fortunate.
Some veterans volunteered at Second Harvest Heartland in Golden Valley today.
They said even though they're not serving in uniform, they had to serve in some capacity today.
