EmailPedestrian Hit, Killed in Maple Grove Construction Zone
A woman walking in a construction zone was hit and killed Thursday morning in Maple Grove.
Authorities say the incident happened just after 1:30 a.m. on Weaver Lake Road, and the driver stopped.
Police originally couldn't identify the woman because she didn't have an ID or purse, but she has since been identified. Her name has not yet been released.
Police say their initial findings show the driver was not at fault, and they don’t believe speed was a factor. They are working to reconstruct the scene of the crash.
