St. Cloud police are warning residents and business owners to be on the lookout after a string of counterfeit complaints.

Around noon Thursday, Aug. 2, police were called to the 1100 block of 13th Avenue North for a complaint. They found that a counterfeit $20 bill was used at a garage sale by a white female in her 40s. The woman had bleach-blonde hair, was about 5-feet 7-inches tall, and weighed about 160 pounds.

A woman matching that description had also been spotted trying to use a counterfeit $20 bill at a garage sale on the 1100 block of Ninth Avenue South.

Police were also called to a downtown bar around 1 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, in reference to a counterfeit complaint.

Police say a counterfeit $20 bill was used between midnight and 2:20 a.m. at the bar, located on the 800 block of St. Germain Street West.
