Canterbury Park Hosts Fillies Race for Hope

Canterbury Park in Shakopee hosted the second annual Fillies Race for Hope Saturday.
It was a day of horse racing and fundraising to benefit the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation and the Pay It Forward Fund.
Ten races were run, each exclusively for fillies and mares.
Saturday's card included four stakes races, with the feature being the $100,000 Lady Canterbury Stakes.
Immediately following the day's third race, a Survivors' Parade was held on the race track, honoring several hundred breast cancer survivors and their families. A ladies' hat contest was also held for all track attendees.
The Lady Canterbury Stakes featured $1 million lifetime winner Hooh Why, a two-time graded stakes winner.
