Teen Charged in Boy's Shooting Death to Appear in Court Monday

One of the teens accused in the shooting death of a 5-year-old boy will be in court Monday.

Seventeen-year-old Stephon Shannon is charged with aiding and abetting murder in connection with the death of Nizzel George, who was shot and killed while sleeping on his grandmother's couch in North Minneapolis.

The other suspect in the case is only 15 years old. The Hennepin County Attorney's Office is trying to charge him as an adult.
