Email1 Man Found Dead After Linwood Township Fire
One man was found dead after a house fire in Linwood Township, which is located east of Stacy.
The fire started around 4 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Lyons Street and 238th Avenue Northeast. Crews from Linwood Townships, Stacy and Ham Lake responded.
The Assistant Fire Chief in Linwood says the home is a total loss and that the second story of the home collapsed down on top of the first floor.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, the home had a large amount of debris on the first level, making it difficult for firefighters.
Crews found the body of a man in the home around 9:25 a.m.
There was a possibility there may have been a woman inside of the home. Authorities have learned everyone has been accounted for.
Neighbors say a man in his 60s lives in the home by himself.
