One person is dead after a car crashed into a tree in downtown Minneapolis.
Police say the incident happened around 4:30 a.m. at Fifth Avenue and 10th Street. The driver was northbound on I-35W and exiting onto Fifth Avenue South. The driver couldn't make the turn and jumped the curb, hitting two trees, according to police.
It's not yet clear if speed or alcohol are factors in the crash.
The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating.
