Multi-Vehicle Crash Halts Traffic on I-35W in North Metro
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash that closed Interstate 35W in Lino Lakes for approximately three hours Thursday.
The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on northbound I-35W north of Sunset Avenue, shutting down all northbound lanes of traffic and one southbound lane.
According to a preliminary report from the State Patrol, a vehicle traveling northbound on I-35W struck a vehicle stalled on the right shoulder. The stalled vehicle then hit another northbound vehicle.
The State Patrol is describing the incident as a serious injury crash, though the conditions of the drivers were not immediately available. A medical transport helicopter was seen landing at the scene.
All lanes had reopened by about 7 p.m. Thursday.
