300-Mile Bike Ride for HIV, AIDS Awareness Kicks Off at MOA

Thursday marks the 10th anniversary of a 300-mile bike ride across southern Minnesota.

The Red Ribbon Ride raises awareness for HIV and AIDS. It begins at Mall of America and travels four days through southern Minnesota.

The goal is to raise awareness for the disease but also to raise money for the organizations that help people living with HIV and AIDS.

Participants will bike all day and spend the nights camping out. They’ll make overnight stops in Lake City, Rochester, and Northfield and will finish Sunday at the State Capitol in St. Paul.
