Fire Evacuates Residents at St. Paul Senior Living Facility

At least 30 people were evacuated after a fire broke out at a senior living facility in St. Paul Sunday afternoon.

Fire officials say the fire started around 1:15 p.m. on the 500 block of Humboldt Avenue.

While they were working to put out the fire a water pipe broke, delaying residents from returning to the building, but all were expected back in by Sunday evening.

No one was hurt. Damage is believed to be contained to the recreation room and basement.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
