Twin Cities Mosquito Population Twice the Typical Year

If you think the mosquitoes are bad right now, you'd be right.

The Metropolitan Mosquito Control District says right now we have twice the typical mosquito population. This year's increase is because of all the rain we had in the spring.

Officials say the recent hot streak may have killed off some of the insects. But if we get a lot more rain we'll get another batch of mosquitoes.
