Mpls. Parks Employees Go Weeks Without Pay

A few dozen Minneapolis parks workers haven't seen a paycheck in weeks and they are growing impatient.
They are all seasonal workers, mostly life guards and pool attendants. Most are college students and some have waited six weeks to get paid. All of them work at the Jim Lupient Water Park.
The Minneapolis Parks Board tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS it is a regrettable error and that some unknown paperwork glitches caused the delay. The Parks Board has now cut the checks for 31 employees and they can pick them up Thursday.
The Parks Board employs thousands of seasonal employees and says this is an isolated incident at Lupient Water Park.
The Parks Board says there have not been any other reports of employees not getting paid on time.
