Minn. Heat Wave Takes Toll on Drivers, Cars

This week's heat wave is taking a toll on drivers and their cars. All around the metro, tow truck drivers are very busy due to countless cars breaking down in the extreme heat.
Tony White, owner of Midwest Recovery in Bloomington, says hot weather is just as hard on your car as cold. He has some tips for drivers to keep their cars rolling.
"Next time you go in for an oil change, have them check the radiator coolant, see if it needs to be flushed and have your batteries checked," White said.
Another tip: Check your tires. Low pressure in hot weather can increase the risk of a blow-out.
