Minnesota Prepares for Wave of Alzheimer's Cases
As baby boomers grow older, Minnesota's number of Alzheimer's patients is expected to double in 30 years to 200,000, according to the Alzheimer's Association.
There is hope that increased awareness and research money will reduce those numbers.
The Minnesota Legislature has launched a task force called 'Prepare Minnesota for Alzheimer's 2020.'
Minnesota's case numbers are higher than average because the age here is higher than the national average.
