Charges Expected Monday in Fatal Shooting of 5-Year-Old
Details could be released today in the homicide of a five-year-old boy in North Minneapolis.
Charges could come as soon as Monday against two juveniles arrested in connection with the death of Nizzel George. The little boy was hit by a bullet while sleeping on his grandmother's couch Tuesday morning.
Police arrested the suspects in Columbia Heights Thursday. Police will likely say more about the arrests after charges are filed.
About 120 people turned out for a vigil Saturday night in the neighborhood where George died. Residents say they will set up a community crime watch and will attempt to persuade armed teens to give up their guns.
