Charges Possible Monday in Shooting Death of 5-Year-Old
Charges could be filed as soon as Monday against two juveniles arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 5-year-old boy.
Nizzel George was sleeping on the couch at his grandmother's north Minneapolis home Tuesday morning when he was fatally hit by a bullet that came through the wall.
On Thursday evening, police arrested two juveniles in Brooklyn Center in connection with the shooting.
One person was arrested for probable cause murder, the other for probable cause weapons possession. Both are being held in a juvenile detention center.
Minneapolis police say a feud led to the gunfire that killed Nizzel. They believe one person fired about 10 shots into the house on the 4500 block of Bryant Avenue North, then fled on foot.
Authorities have not said whether or not they will charge the juveniles as adults.
